Our Services.
We provide neurodiversity-affirming, evidence-based allied health services for children, adolescents, and adults across the Northern Rivers, including Ballina, Lennox Head, Byron Bay, and surrounding communities.
Our services include speech therapy, occupational therapy, hearing screening, and group programs designed to support communication, regulation, independence, and participation in everyday life.
At SSAH, we take a functional, relationship-based approach - working closely with families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver practical strategies that create real-world outcomes.
We foster an integrative approach tailoring therapy to each client’s unique needs. Our team are experienced across a range of areas including; speech, language, paediatric feeding, swallowing, AAC and Gestalt Language Development.
Speech Pathology
Our therapists collaborate to address challenges from sensory processing to motor delays. Through personalised assessments and interventions, we promote skill development and motor coordination.
Occupational Therapy
Hearing Screening
Our hearing screening service in Ballina provides a quick, child-friendly way to check how well a person is hearing and processing sound. Early screening can help identify potential difficulties that may be contributing to challenges with speech development, communication, behaviour, or learning.
The Sunshine Series is our range of small-group therapy programs designed to support children’s communication, social, emotional and motor development through fun, play-based sessions led by our Speech and OT team.
The Sunshine Series
